This is the best possible place to stay in Tamarindo . . . bar none. The breakfasts: picture perfect three course meals. The honeymoon suite: luxurious bed and hammock, stunning views of the Pacific, really cool (private) outdoor shower, and super-clean -- the AC even works really well. The staff: thoughtful, friendly, attentive, insightful, [insert glowing adjective here].
This place can't be beat, and the other reviewers are not exaggerating when they say that Sueno del Mar is a little slice of heaven on the Pacific. Do yourself a favor and, if travelling to Costa Rica, fight tooth and nail to reserve as many nights as you can get your hands on. Edo/Susanne/Sol and company will take excellent care of you.

This B&B is truly an oasis by the sea. While the pictures on the internet are accurate, the actual location is more like paradise. I was welcomed by the warm, friendly staff who made themselves available to accommodate our every need. The 3 course breakfast served every morning is 5 star quality. It was an absolutely perfect way to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. After residing in the "osita" casita I am not sure I will ever be able to go back to a hotel again.
