Learn the difference between bananas and plantains!


In Costa Rica, we have two types of bananas:
1) Banana, yellow, eaten uncooked, alone, with other fruits or cereal (English banana)
2) Banana, ripe or green. The ripe plantain is fried or baked with sugar, cinnamon, cheese, sour cream and butter, delicious!. Green can be minced, in ceviche or tostones (fried plantains).

Green Banana Is Anti-Diarrhea
Banana Is Anti-Ulcer Activity
Banana peel suppresses Prostate Gland Growth
Banana stem extract suppresses Oxalate Kidney Stones
Banana consumption protects the skin Against UV-Light Damage
Bananas have Anti-Diabetic properties 
Banana contains a variety of Anti-Infective Compounds
