Sueno del Mar's famous cinnamon roll recipe!

One of our favorite treats at Sueno del Mar's breakfast is Lili's homemade cinnamon rolls! We are sharing our recipe so you can try it at home!  It is very simple and only takes 30 minutes! But if you stop by at Sueno del Mar Bed & Breakfast, be sure to ask for them!  And if you make them at home, be sure to share a photo on our Facebook page!

 
The ingredients are:

* For the dough:
1 puff pastry dough 20 cm x 20 cm

* For the filling

5 tbsp White Sugar
Ground cinnamon to taste (as much as you like!)
Walnuts cut into small pieces½ cup slivered almonds
 
Roll out the puff pastry, sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Then add the walnuts and almonds.
Roll it back together and cut into 2 cm thick. Place on a greased baking sheet and cook at 180C degrees in the oven until golden brown.

Celebrating New Year's in Costa Rica

Every year, we have had the honor of a special family coming to celebrate the holiday season at our boutique Bed and Breakfast. They travel all the way from New York to leave the cold temperatures and enjoy our tropical sunshine. The entire hotel is rented by them and they come with four generations. The youngest ones of the family we have seen grow up from being infants to young little personalities. This will be the sixth year in a row that they are here and we hope that there are many more years to follow. It's a beautiful way to start the new year together as a family!
