Our local wildlife: Costa Rica's howler monkey

The howler monkey.  A fitting name since you’ll probably hear them before you see them!  We often call them “nature’s alarm clock” as you will sometimes hear them as the sun is rising over the beautiful Guanacaste hills near our lovely beachfront hotel.

You’ll normally find them in troops, swinging through the trees, taking a mid-day siesta on a branch and playing with each other.  As the sun sets, you can often hear them again, howling as the sun reaches the horizon on the Pacific.

You will feel right at home at our beachfront Bed and Breakfast located near Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
