Local's favorite places to eat!

If you’re exploring our beach town here in Tamarindo, Costa Rica and you need a little pick-me-up, a wonderful spot to stop and grab some local gourmet coffee and a yummy treat is Cafe Tico. Located 25 meters South of the Super 2001 supermarket you will find the small cafe and it’s welcoming patio with white chairs and tables. Definitely a local’s favorite, Cafe Tico offers a variety of baked goods and simple dishes to accompany their authentic, locally grown coffee. The cafe also sells local honey, spices, and sauces. Be sure to stop in our your next visit to town - you will not be disappointed!

A Special Costa Rica Destination Wedding Dinner by Shlomy of Seasons in Tamarindo

In May of this year, Laura and Martina from Liquid Weddings brought us a great group to celebrate a wedding at Sueno del Mar Beachfront Bed & Breakfast. 

Marla and Tony,  the bride and groom celebrated their Costa Rica destination wedding at our boutique hotel in front of the sea.  They brought in Chef Shlomy, from the well known restaurant in Playa Tamarindo "Seasons by Shlomy".

Chef Shlomy has been in Tamarindo 7 years and graduated from the French school while staging at "Les Zygomates". Chef Shlomy returned to Israel to work in Israel's high end restaurants and catering services, before leaving to Costa Rica where his main focus was on private catered sit-down dinners. He has brought his style of fusion Mediterranean cuisine to Tamarindo since late 2003. 

We had the honor to have him making some magic and creating wonderful dishes in the Sueno del Mar kitchen for this destination wedding. If Shlomy is your favorite chef, we can arrange to have an intimate dinner with his food at our beachfront Bed and Breakfast in Playa Langosta.
